Lismore Swing Connection aims to promote and share the joys of Lindy Hop Swing Dancing with others in the local area. Lindy Hop is the swing dance, which evolved in the ballrooms of Harlem, New York, to the big band swing music of the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s. The Lindy is a dance of great character, depth and variety, being rich in emotion it allows the fullest personal expression, enjoyment and fun. To learn more about Lindy Hop, browse the links page.

We run Lindy Hop dance classes and are interested in all things Lindy.

When we can afford it and the teachers are available, Lismore Swing Connection brings Australian and top overseas Lindy/Swing dancers and teachers to Lismore, thus furthering our knowledge of Lindy Hop/Swing dancing and developing our dance skills.

Lismore Swing Connection is a hobby of Brian's. He started dancing Lindy around 1995/96. As a means of sharing the dance and the joy it brings, he started teaching Lindy Hop in 1998.
