CORRECTING PERCEPTIONS ABOUT CAMP LISMORE

Emails have been circulating promoting false perceptions about the Lismore Swing Dance Camp which need to be corrected.

1) The Lismore Swing Dance Camp has always been run as an informal joint venture/informal partnership between Steven Mitchell & Brian Whelan. It was not "Steven's camp" nor was it "Brian's Camp", it was "Steven & Brian's" Camp. However the legal / financial risks and responsibilities have always been carried by Brian Whelan who is the entity that bought Steven to Lismore.

2) The establishment of the Lismore Swing Dance Camp , it's growth & expansion were the result of joint decisions by Brian Whelan & Steven Mitchell who both foresaw the Camp's potential and both brought their particular visions to the Lismore Swing Dance Camp.

3) If another event is not in Lismore and does not have both Steven Mitchell & Brian Whelan participate in it, then it is not what has become known as "The Lismore Swing Dance Camp" and constitutes a new and completely separate event. Brian Whelan had no prior knowledge of any such event.

4) The Australian Lindy Calendar reserves the few days either side of Australia Day for events held in Lismore.
